  • Kids Mobile Medical Clinic is part of the Georgetown Community Pediatrics Program that has served as a hallmark in providing care to underserved children. Since its inception seventeen years ago, Georgetown's KIDS Mobile Medical Clinic has provided more than 42,000 patient visits to children and adolescents who live in underserved communities of the District of Columbia. Its mission is to improve access for underserved children to comprehensive health services. It is based on the believe that every child, regardless of his or her family's financial means, deserves high-quality comprehensive, culturally competent and continuous health care that is delivered in a respectful, caring and family-centered environment.
  • The Military Child Health Professionals Academy will benefit military families in the Washington, DC metropolitan area by identifying and educating civilian nurse-leaders from local schools, civilian medical facilities and throughout the military health-care systems - - who have the first line opportunity to identify and properly address the unique needs of military children and their families. Deployments have a tremendous impact on our warriors, but the families of our brave service men and women are deeply affected by the absence of their loved one. The recurring deployment cycle of goodbyes, extended absences and difficult reunions, or the loss of a loved service member, impacts many deeply but it is most often the impact on children that is overlooked. Many of these children attend civilian schools where the unique issues facing these students are too often not understood. Nurses trained to identify and understand the special stresses faced by military children will provide a front-line defense to long-term trauma.
