CharityWorks helps non-profits by supporting programs that transform lives and have an impact today, tomorrow and in the future.
CharityWorks Partners

CharityWorks was created in 1999 to make a difference in the lives of children and families in the Washington Metropolitan area. Through a rigorous selection process, CharityWorks brings local organizations to the attention of sponsors . By combining the contributions of a significant number of donors, we have been able to make a meaningful impact on our community. Since the attacks of 9/11, we have expanded our mission to support service men and women and their families, especially those facing the catastrophic effects of combat injuries and war-related illnesses.

2010 Partners

  • Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund (IMSFF) goal is to restore the highest quality of life possible to every injured Marine, Sailor and affiliated service member and to ensure that their families do not suffer a decline in the quality of their lives due to financial challenges during the hospitalization and recovery of their loved one. The Fund provides timely monetary grants to those whose lives have been altered forever by war. IMSFF volunteers are stationed at both the Naval National Medical Center and Walter Reed Army Medical Center and assistance is provided from the moment of injury throughout recovery.

  • LIFT offers low-income individuals and families a path out of poverty by helping them find jobs, secure safe and stable housing, make ends meet through public benefits and tax credits, and obtain quality referrals for services like childcare and health care. LIFT's corps of highly trained and dedicated volunteers, most of them college students, grapple with our country's most challenging issues related to poverty, race, and inequality and go on to become lifelong leaders in the effort to fight poverty. Through their partnership with CharityWorks, LIFT hopes to launch a Professional Corps to leverage the experience, knowledge and relationships of our area's highly skilled workforce to serve the needs of more than 1,000 families living in poverty in our region.
