Fisher House provides "a home away from home "for families of patients receiving medical care at major military and VA medical centers. CharityWorks members are coordinating a house warming party on June 13, 2008 to fill the DC house with linens, toiletries, and kitchenware. Dry goods are also needed to stock the pantry shelves. |

Elementary and Middle School Children residing in Washington's most distressed neighborhoods are provided a structured education. CharityWorks members coordinated a book drive for one of the Consortium's schools stocking the bookshelves in each classroom and donating computers to the school library. Members also sponsored all the fifth grade classes throughout the Consortium's schools in a reading project. Each child was provided a copy of The Bridge to Terabithia and then taken on a field trip to see the movie of the same name. The Consortium is looking for Angels to sponsor students in its schools.
