2005 Wine Tasting & Auction

At the home of Lynn and Ted Leonsis.

McLean, VA

The 100 Point Vintage Wine Event

Only 200 tickets will be sold to this intimate world-class event. Eight of Washington, DC's top celebrity chefs will prepare a meal like no other. The five courses will be paired perfectly to compliment the ten wines. Robert Parker and Pierre Rovani, of The Wine Advocate, rate each of the ten wines to be served a perfect score of 100 points. The evening will be lead by Pierre Rovani, who has been described as a brilliant taster and the second most powerful wine critic in the world. Mr. Rovani has been responsible for the tasting and criticism for the wines of over half of the world's wine regions. He is the only person who has the honor of writing in collaboration with Robert Parker. His writings can be seen in the bi-monthly issues of The Wine Advocate and The Wine Buying Guide.

Lynn and Ted Leonsis have graciously opened their beautiful McLean, VA estate for this event. Their generous hospitality, paired with this supreme dining experience is sure to create a night like no other.

Jack Davies, Rebecca Sanders, and Anjanette Murphy, the event chairs, have promised an evening that will surpass all expectations. Very few wines merit the 100 point rating of Robert M. Parker, Jr's The Wine Advocate. Those that have accomplished this rating are extremely rare and often of small productions. To taste this magnificent collection of 100 point wines is an experience of a lifetime.

It is with great appreciation that we thank the Case Foundation, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Wachovia Wealth Management, the Presenting Sponsors of this event, for their support. This event promises to be both exquisite and historic.

The proceeds of the event will be used by Heads Up, CharityWorks 2005 Partner, to expand after school and summer programs for at risk-elementary school children in the District of Columbia. This will certainly be an unforgettable event.
